The Adapt designers have an intimate understanding of detail, craft and material. The partners of Adapt set out to create products of authentic materials and technique by merging modern design with Amish artisanship.  With close ties to the Amish, engaging them in a partnership seemed natural.  Co-founder Micah Gingerich left the Amish way of life at a young age.  Years later he teamed with long-time friend and co-founder David Bailey to form Adapt.  David was studying architecture at the Ohio State University where he received his master’s degree.  Micah and David work with Amish partners to create modern furniture inspired by a matrix of functional possibilities.

Adapt has high standards for their products, service and operations – the integrity of every product relies on its material authenticity, its uncompromised craftsmanship, its functional adaptability and its unique detail.
